Privacy & Disclosure

What this site measures

No cookies, no advertising trackers, no login required. Two things run on these pages:

Neither can identify you as a person. There is no third-party ad network on this site.

Comments

Comments on blog posts store the name you type and the text of your comment. The name may be a pseudonym; no email address is asked for. Your IP address is not stored — only a one-way hash of it, used to spot repeated spam from the same source.

Spam is kept out by a hidden form field, a signed form token and a small computation your browser performs. No third-party service, no captcha provider, no cookies. Comments containing a link are held for review before they appear.

Affiliate links

Some links to platforms and products are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, this site may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Currently used: HackTheBox, TryHackMe, NordVPN, Amazon and Impact.

It never changes what I write. A writeup describes what actually worked and what did not; a product does not get a better mention by paying.

Sponsored placements

Paid placements are always labelled Sponsored and their links carry rel="sponsored", so search engines see them as paid. They are never presented as editorial content.
